Our Story
Ace Air Academy was created out of a need for flight training in the North Central Texas area by owners Dan Webre and Kristen Webre. Dan got his start in aviation in 2007 going to A&P school at Texas State Technical College in Waco, TX. He moved to Odessa, TX in 2010 for an A&P job and to get his private pilot license. He got his pilot license in 2012, his Inspection Authorization in 2014, moved back to his home area in 2016, and started his own maintenance shop in Hillsboro, TX in 2017. Flash forward to 2025 with over 800 hours of private pilot time and a need in the area for flight training Dan along with his wife Kristen decided to purchase their first aircraft to use solely for flight training, a Diamond DA20-C1. With almost 20 years of general aviation maintenance experience and his own maintenance shop it only seemed logical to offer flight training as well. Our big advantage over most other flight training facilities is our in-house meticulous maintenance that allows us to oversee every aspect of the maintenance performed on our aircraft and minimize maintenance downtime during your training. Instructor - Caiden Miller
Hi, I’m Caiden Miller, and I’m excited to help you take your first steps into aviation! I did all of my training in the Diamond DA-20 and have logged over 250 hours in the same aircraft we use for lessons here at Ace Air Academy. I’m a Certified Flight Instructor with a bachelor’s degree in Commercial Aviation, and I love being able to share both the technical side of flying and the pure joy that comes with being in the air. Safety is always my top priority, but I also focus on keeping training efficient, clear, and fun. Whether it’s your very first discovery flight or you’re working toward your private pilot certificate, I’ll be right there to guide you and make sure you feel confident every step of the way.
